After the showcase of the new Ford Fiesta facelift in 2014 Auto Expo, Ford id ready to launch the much appreciated model of the Fiesta series next week. The company has already published pictures and other specifications on their website and social media page. This is an indication that the car is tested and ready of the consumers and it is completely ready to launch. The company has clearly mentioned all the changes in the new model on their website. The car is said to have on y cosmetic changes leaving the mechanics of the car to be same as that of the older versions of the Fiesta.
As mentioned previously changes are only in the exterior design of the car with different radiator grill and head lamps, also the car would get features like SYNC with AppLink multimedia system for easy connect of your device. The start/stop system with a press of a button, automatic headlamps and wipers are some new features added in the new Fiesta. The engine will remain the same, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel which are offered in the current model. With the launch of the EcoSport the company had a tough time dealing with the tremendous response from the Indian market resulting in delayed delivery time and long waiting list, with this on their char it will be a task for the company to get customer’s attention and provide with any amount of demand. Moreover the previous version of the Fiesta had less rear seating space which came with a high price tag; this obstructed the car from being a hit in the Indian market. Ford has to market their ne Fiesta very well to get good demands.
The car gets a new stylish look with a large grill, sleek head lamps, fog lamps, new tail lamps etc. There are changes in the wheel arches and body lines which define the car’s styling very well. Improve boot space van easily accommodate three large travelling bags. On the inside it’s the same what ford offer on most of the current line-up. Dual tone silver and black interiors that are in the EcoSport will be identical to the interior of the new Fiesta. Rest remaining the same it will be interesting to see how Ford tackles the competition and how they market their product considering the setbacks with their previous model.
