Korean auto giant Hyundai has unveiled the 2015 Hyundai i30 which brings along with a host of changes to enhance the appeal of the model. On the outside, the i30 gets some minor changes like new colour options of Orange Caramel, Jet Black and Polar White, updated hexagonal front grille and new design for the alloy wheels. On the inside, the car gets sports seat, updated instrument panel, contrast stitching and black headliner. However, the biggest change has to be the inclusion of a new Turbocharged engine.
The new turbo variant becomes the most expensive model in the i30 series and goes on sale in both three-door and five-door body styles. Powering this model is the carmaker’s 1.6 litre turbocharged unit which unleashes a peak power of 204 horses for the Kia Cee’d but lets out only 186 bhp for the i30. The peak torque is 265 Nm and the engine will come paired to a six-speed manual gearbox. The new i30 can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds and has a top speed of 219 kmph. It also gets sports tuned suspension. Other engine options remain untouched and so does other aspects like the fuel economy, emissions, etc.
