Skoda revealed the exterior images of the 2015 Skoda Fabia a week ago and now the Czech car maker has revealed an interior picture of what the Fabia has in store for its customers, which shall make its official debut at the upcoming Paris Motor Show.
The main highlight in the interior of the 2015 Skoda Fabia is the Mirror Link technology, which allows one smart phone to connect to the Fabia’s touch screen infotainment system. In simple words the Fabia’s touch screen display will mirror one’s MirrorLink compatible smart phone, which is connected through a USB port.
Apart from the high-tech MirrorLink technology, the 2015 Skoda Fabia also features other top specs such as a sleek three-spoke steering wheel, with steering mounted controls, a push-to-start button sits on the steering column, climate control, keyless entry, heated front seats, front and rear fog lamps, multi-function trip computer and SmartGate- through which one can transfer the vehicles usage data, such as average speed, fuel consumption and journey costs onto their compatible smartphones using the AUX port or Wi-Fi. Mostly these features will be available on the top end models.
Although Skoda has yet to grace us with pictures of the remainder of the Fabia’s interior, but the company claims that, the Skoda Fabia boot can hold 330L of stuff and when the seats are folded it can accommodate 1150L, which is the largest boot in the small car segment. Other unseen features include an ice scraper built into the fuel filler cap, six bottle holders (2 inside the center console and 1 in each door) along with storage nets in the boot.
As the Czech car maker puts it, the 2015 Skoda Fabia model is cleverer and more practical than ever before. It seems like the new Fabia will take on its rivals the VW Polo, Maruti Swift, Tata Bolt and Hyundai i20 in style. The 2015 Fabia which is soon to start production next month at the Mlada Boleslav plant, will reach European markets by the end of the year and we assume will be priced between 5 lakhs- 8 lakhs (ex showroom).
