Mahindra XUV 500 with tractor wheels
The Mahindra XUV 500 or the ‘Urban SUV’ as Mahinndra likes to call it was launched to change people’s mindset about Mahindra. People before the launch of XUV considered Mahindra as an automaker manufacturing rugged off-road vehicles, and they were right to some extent. But, with the launch of this luxurious SUV, things changed. However, some people were still not satisfied. One of them is, Zubair Abdullah of Hot zone racing technology, Banglore owner of this XUV who fitted the car with tractor tires. YES! those are as big as they look. The all-new car is called the Intrepid. The SUV also got other updates like a huge carrier on the top, a snorkel and a lot of DRL’s, a lot I say again. Other off-roading tools such as a winch, roll cage, fuel tank at the rear, etc. are fitted on the monster.
Kishan Lohiya’s Mahindra Scorpio
Yes, another Mahindra. This time is the Scorpio t undergo the surgery. Hyderabad-based Kishan Lohiya has made some very tasteful modifications. The Scorpio is now taller with 36″ inch tyres on 16″ wheels. The axles have been extended and room is created for the taller tyres. The front has been changed completely to make you wonder if it was a Scorpio at all. The SUV has been given a cabin of a pick-up truck or it is based on the Scorpio Getaway we don’t have much information about that. But, whatever it is, the new Scorpio with the added winch and other off-roading gadgets is a adventure ready beast.
Mahindra Thar 6×6
Yes, you read that right. It is not a Mercedes 6×6 but a Mahindra Thar 6×6 based on the very capable Mercedes G63 6×6. SD offroaders have built this 6×6 from a stock Mahindra Thar which is a job to appreciate on the visual front. The Thar 6×6 looks like its inspiration. We however have no details about the mechanism of this huge car, jeep, pick-up, I don’t know what to call it. I ll use 6×6 as a pronoun. So we don’t know if the Mahindra Thar 6×6 can quit the civilization to go into the jungle or a desert. What we know is that the 6×6 is an eye catcher.
