Ringing a bell of disappointment for all those biking enthusiasts who were eagerly waiting for the “go-anywhere” KTM 390 Adventure, there is sad news- the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer has denied the use of the Duke 390’s platform for entry-level KTM 390 Adventure.
In a discussion, between an automotive website ADV Pulse and the Press and PR coordinator for the Austrian Manufacturer, the rendered images and the whole concept of the 390 Adventure to be based on the Duke 390’s platform and powertrain is not possible, as the platform is designed for Supersport bikes and the naked version of the Duke 390.
Even though the entry-level tourer the KTm 390 Adventure was rumored to unveil at the EICMA in Milan later this year, the press and PR coordinator denied the statement stating that the 390 platform does not forsee the 390 Adventurer model to be based on it.
The only ray of hope is that, the official did not completely rule out the possibility of the entry-level tourer, it is just that 390 Adventurer is not on the KTM’s priority list at the moment.
With all the hype created by the rendered images and other rumors over social media, we hope KTM gets a hint and the confidence to plan an entry-level tourer. But nevertheless we still have the RC 390 and RC 200 KTM sport bikes, which are to be launched on September 9, so do not feel low, KTM should have new products up its sleeve for the future and we hope to see the 390 Adventure as one of them.
