It hasn’t even been a month since the launch of the Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 and Bajaj Auto Ltd. has come up with the new Bajaj Pulsar Adventure Sport range! The new range of Pulsar motorcycles offers two engine variants – a 150cc and a 200cc. In this post, we will concentrate on the new Bajaj Pulsar AS 200. The new Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 is based on the, you guessed it right, the Pulsar 200NS. It shares most of its body panels and even the motor with the naked model. However, the sweetener here is the price! Launched at an introductory price of INR 91550, the new bike is a full INR 3000 cheaper than the 200NS.
Like we said, the new Pulsar AS 200 shares many design elements with the 200 NS. It gets the same fuel tank, same speedo console, same side panels and even the same set of split graibrails. What is now, however, is the inclusion of the new front fairing, which houses a projector headlamp. Among the features of this bike are the monoshock rear suspension, digital speedo console, clip-on styled handlebars, split seats, alloy wheels and a rear disc brake.
Much like the Pulsar 200 NS, the new Bajaj Pulsar AS 200 is powered by a 199.6cc, single cylinder engine that comes mated to a six speed manual transmission. Unlike the RS 200, it misses out on a fuel injection and at 23.2 bhp of maximum power and 18.3 Nm of peak torque, it remains as potent on the new motorcycle as it is on its naked brother.
Bajaj aims to sell approximately 5000 units of this bike per month. Considering the very aggressive pricing, powerful engine and a long list of features, it should’t be much of a task. What say?
