Power, Speed and luxury– Bentley launched the Flying Spur V8 in India today, priced at Rs 3.1 crores (ex-showroom Delhi), the Flying Spur V8 is the younger sibling to the Flying Spur W12 model.
After the successful launch of the Flying Spur in October 2013, the Bentley Flying Spur V8 touches Indian soil through the completely built unit (Cbu) route. The Flying Spur V8 is powered with a 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged engine, which produces 507 PS of power and 660 Nm of torque. The power is supplied to all-four wheels via a 8-speed, ZF automatic gearbox- delivering an exhilarating performance. The beast claims to clock 0-100 km/h in 5.2 sec and to a top speed of 295 km/h. Aided with Cylinder deactivation technology (CDT), the V8 claims to have a 700 km range on a full tank.
The Bentley Flying Spur V8 design is similar to the W12. The minor changes on the V8 are, newly designed chrome exhaust finishers, a red-center to the Bentley Wing badges to denote the V8 engine and the front lower bumper grille are finished in matt black.
The Bently Flying Spur V8 interiors is loaded with top- end features: a centralized 8-inch touchscreen interface, two mode ESP, Google map imagery, multi-zone climate control, 8- speaker standard system and a 10-inch display screen for each rear seat. All these phenomenal features are embedded in a stylish blend of leather, wood and chrome interior designing. The V8 can also adopt the W12 interior kit as an option, only the price will vary accordingly.
The Flying Spur V8 is a younger sibling to the W12, but performance wise it does not lose out much, it’s an absolute treat to the person at the back as well as the one behind the wheel.
