A minor face lift on the BMW 3-series is on the cards for the festive season. A test mule was spotted on a flatbed truck in Pune with camouflaged bumpers. The changes will be on the cosmetic side with new front and rear bumpers with revised air intake. LED day time running lights and LED tail lamps would also make an appearance on this new car. These would make the car appear sleeker and wider. There is absolutely no change on the side profile.
There are no changes under the hood and it pretty much will be a drivers car as earlier and will be pitted against The Audi A4 and Mercedes Benz C-class. BMW has hit rough waters in the Indian market in the last couple of years and has fallen considerably behind Mercedes Benz and Audi after being the top seller in this segment. With the Indian buyer showing a large appetite for luxury cars, the demand is at an all time high. The company needed to go on the offensive in order to cover some of the lost ground. With this face lift and a slew of other models to be launched the company seems to be on the right track.
