Back in July 2013, the brand Datsun had its global unveil and first showcase of the product Datsun Go. After a long wait today Datsun will launch the car in India. Interesting fact about this car will be it’s pricing which will be directly targeting all entry level cars in India. Datsun Go is expected to be very competitively priced for its size. It will take on Hyundai’s Eon, Tata’s Nano and MSIL’s Alto 800. Being priced low and targeted at middle class buyers, it will focus on keeping the cost of ownership as low as possible to gain trust of customers. The car overall looks good and you can read our first drive review here.
The company targets to acquire 10% market share by 2016. Datsun plans to launch overall 10 models by 2016. We will witness launch of Datsun Go today followed by Go+ MPV in the next year. Watch the launch of Datsun Go right here on AutoColumn!
