Team AutoColumn’s ScoopMeister is back again with an image of upcoming Datsun Go plus. This time the car has been spotted in Pune doing testing rounds for its final stage runs. The vehicle was wearing white camo and looks a bit promising body shell for a 7 seater vehicle. The Datsun Go Plus is based on the Datsun Go hatchback and shares plenty of body style at front with the Go. Go plus is the second vehicle from Datsun that will get launched in India in the first quarter of 2015. The car was spotted numerous times in Chennai doing testing rounds around the city.
The car is in final stage of of its testing and the launch is a few weeks away. Datsun GoPlus will come up with similar dashboard and interiors as Go hatchback and expected to come with more powerful engines than the Go hatch. The petrol motor might get a bump in power and torque figures to pull this 7 seaters MPV and diesel mill will be Renault Nissan group’s tried and tested 1.5 liter oil burner.
The MPV market is getting a pace in India and at the start of 2015 Datsung GoPlus and Renault’s Lodgy will join the race with Innova, Mobilio and other players like Nissan Evalia, Chevrolet Enjoy. Toyota Innova is the most expensive from above all, its the top selling MPV in the market. We just hope that Datsun will not make the same mistake this time by offering less features that justify the low price tag like Go hatchback.
