The new Fiat Punto Evo, the India-bound facelift for the Italian supermini, will be launched tomorrow. The Fiat Punto Evo launch in India will be followed by the launch of the Punto-based Avventura crossover, which made its India debut at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in February this year.
The upcoming Fiat Punto Evo adds some zing to the Italian car manufacturer’s B segment offering and the new car will be launched with four engine and seven colour options. The Fiat Punto Evo looks much more modern and comes across as an amalgam of Punto’s clean, organic lines and some really bold design cues. The Punto Evo boasts of new headlamps, new front grille, revised bumper and new fog lamps. In side profile, the car gets new 16 inch wheels for the top end variants. At the rear, the car gets new LED taillights, revised rear bumper and new Evo badging. The new Punto Evo will go on sale in as many as seven colours. On the inside, the car gets a new dashboard that is much like the one on duty in the Linea facelift. The new dashboard boasts of new beige-black finish and seems to be of improved quality.
The new Fiat Punto Evo should benefit from Fiat India’s improved after sales network and better dealership network. Worth mentioning here is that the Indian car buying lot has almost always appreciated Fiat cars in India but has stayed away from them only due to below-average after sales experience. However, with Fiat India having taken steps to spruce up its after sales service, future should be bright for Fiat in India.
It is expected that the top-end Evo 90 variant will go on sale for approximately INR 8 lakhs. Stay tuned to 4wheelreviews for more updates on Fiat Punto Evo.
