Harley Davidson, having made considerable inroads into the Indian market, want to keep pushing for the growth. In line with this strategy, they have Harley Davidson have announced the updates for 2016 and also released the prices for five models from the Harley portfolio.
“This is another historic year for Harley-Davidson,” said Pallavi Singh, Director Marketing, Harley-Davidson India. “We’re raising the bar on Dark Custom motorcycles with the new Iron 883, Forty-Eight and Street 750, the purest expression of the design. And we’re extending our lead in touring with the return of the Road King and redesign of the popular Heritage Softail Classic.”
Harley Davidson India yesterday launched dark custom models of its three popular motorcycles – Iron 883, Forty-Eight and Street 750.The 2016 Heritage Softail Classic has made its debut and the Road King has been launched in the country at Rs 25 lakh. Road King is a tourer that is powered by a 1,690 cc air-cooled Twin Cam 103 engine with Integrated Oil-Cooler that produces 138 Nm at 3,500 rpm and delivers 17.85 km/l.
The Iron 883 gets new front and adjustable rear suspension, lighter wheels and improved seating along with the Dark Custom treatment. The same can be said about the Forty-Eight. Iron 883 can be bought in Black Denim and Forty-Eight will come in Velocity Red Sunglo color options along with the existing choices.
The 2016 Street 750 receives suspension tweaks for better city handling, upgraded front and rear braking systems and will come with an additional color option of Superior Blue. All Softails have also received the Twin Cam 103 engines which were earlier only available in Harley Davidson touring motorcycles.
