Hero MotoCorp has updated entire Splendor family for the festive season with the all new Hero Splendor Pro, Splendor+ with self start, and Splendor iSmart with two new colours. The company also launched the Maestro Edge in the capital.
The new Hero Splendor Pro features a new square-shaped headlamp, wider seat and broad grab rail. The motorcycle gets electric start, new visor, clear lens indicator, new fuel tank design and new graphics.
Powering the new Splendor Pro is the same 97.2cc air-cooled 4 stroke single cylinder OHC engine that is tuned to churn out 8.24bhp of power and 8.05 Nm of torque and the engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. The facelifted avatar of Splendor Pro in India will come with a price tag of Rs 46,850 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The eight colours, including two new paint shades, that the bike is available in are Black Purple,Candy Blazing Red, Palace Maroon, Black Monotone, Shield Gold, Heavy Grey, Cloud Silver, and Black Red. The new Hero Splendor Pro is offered in four variants. It will be available at the company’s dealerships across the country from 13 October.
Along with Splendor Pro, Hero has also rolled out a variant of Splendor+, which features Self-Start. Hero’s iSmart also gets new colours — Black Boon Silver and Black Sports Red — in addition to the existing colours of Leaf Green, Excellent Blue, Sports Red, and Heavy Grey.
The company also launched the Maestro Edge moto scooter which will be priced at Rs 49,500 ex-showroom Delhi. The dimensions of the Maestro Edge are 1,840 mm in length, 695 mm in width, and 1,190 mm in height. The wheelbase is 1,265 mm and the ground clearance is 155 mm. The new variant of Maestro, with a plastic body, weighs 109/110 kg (LX/VX), will return an ARAI certified average of 65.8 km/l.
The motor is a single-cylinder air-cooled unit with a displacement of 110.9 cc. It develops 8.31 bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 8.30 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, mated to a traditional CVT. The features of Hero Maestro Edge includes 12-inch alloy wheels, immobiliser, side stand sensor, external fuel filler, front inner box, LED taillamp, telescopic front fork, bike-like exhaust can and tubeless tyres.
