A hotter and sportier version of the Fiat Aegea has been leaked from the Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) where it was registered to be patented. The newly leaked car looks sportier and more aggressive than the stock Aegea or the Tipo sedan.
The car in the image looks to be fitted with a mere body kit as a performance oriented car would have come under the Abarth badge. But some features on the leaked Fiat Aegea like a trunk spoiler, rear diffuser, dual exhaust tips, lowered suspension, etc. indicate that the power can also experience a boost with this car.
The Fiat Aegea in the image looks beefed up due to the aggressive front and rear bumper, extended side skirts and the body colored fins of the grille. The car formed by these elements is a pleasure to the eye. The car in the image boasts a badge on the side of the car that says ‘356 S’. This badge tells a lot about the car. 356 is the codename for the stock Fiat Aegea or the Tipo sedan and ‘S’ as we know stands for sports. So, the new car can be called as the Fiat Aegea S. However, if the engine of this beast is also beefed up, it can be called as the Abarth Aegea S.
The main question stands as what will power the beautifully designed car. We can expect a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine with 138 HP and 240 NM of torque. This engine will be mated a 6-speed manual transmission to drive the front wheels. However, the standard Fiat Aegea is powered by the following engine options, 1.4-liter FIRE engine mated on 5-speed gearbox to produce 95 HP, 1.6-liter E-torq paired to a 6-speeed automatic to give out 110 HP, 1.3-liter Multijet dieseel with 5-speed manual to produce 110 HP and a 1.6-liter petrol with a 6-speed manual to produce 120 HP.
