EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) 2013 was feast for all moto fans where we all saw some upcoming concepts of scooters, bikes and some Chinese copies of Vespa too which got confiscated. Hyosung, one of the manufacturers, also unveiled their upcoming model the GD250N-EXIV. Hyosung GD250N-EXIV is naked street bike that Hyosung developed for European market to rival Duke 200.
So what does Hyosung GD250N-EXIV offer?
The GD 250 is powered by 249cc single cylinder motor that churns a decent 28 bhp and 24Nm of torque. The GD250 motor is mated to 6 speed gearbox. This engine is light and quick unlike other Hyosung engines.
The newly developed engine is a whole new unit which sits on naked frame and 300mm disc at front and 230mm disc at rear does the job of stopping the bike.
The bike weighs around 145 kg and has a good power to weight ratio. Hyosung is targeting this bike to counter Duke 200 which weighs 130 kg and 200cc motor producing 25bhp of power. The GD250N will go on sale in January in Europe and is expected to be priced a little less than Duke 200.
According to our sources at Hyosung, GD250N will be showcased in 2014 Auto Expo and is expected to hit Indian market in second quarter of 2014. Apart from current 5 models, Hyosung will add two more products in Indian market including an electric scooter. Stay tuned!
