Hyundai Motors teases their proposed Hyundai i20 Coupe ahead of its official debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show in October next month.
The Hyundai i20 Coupe- the younger sibling of the i30 Coupe will be Hyundai’s newest entry in the B-segment car market. Even though various car manufacturers are apprehensive to launch 3-door Coupe’s, it is good to see the Korean manufacturer still thinks Coupe’s are cool.
As seen in the sketch, the i20 Coupe will sport an aggressive and muscular design concept, which will feature new body panels adding character to the i20 Coupe. No other specifications have been released by the company, but they stated that saying the Hyundai i20 Coupe will be fun to drive.
A strange fact about the i20 Coupe is, that the car seems very similar to the 90’s Ford Puma, which in 1997 was awarded the “Car of the year” by TopGear magazine.
The Korean manufacturer plans to start production in 2015 and when the i20 Coupe is launched, it will have to face-off against the Ford Fiesta and SEAT Ibiza SC, a new generation which will debut in 2016. We hope that the Hyundai i20 Coupe does revive the dying market of 3-door superminis.
