As revealed by the image we have here, Hyundai Motor India Limited has been busy readying the Hyundai Verna facelift for its Indian innings. The Hyundai Verna facelift launch could happen in the coming months and refreshed car will carry a new fascia to continue looking updated in the rapidly maturing upper C segment of Indian car industry.
The refreshed Verna carries a new front fascia, which gets a new dual-slat chrome along with redesigned headlamps. The car also features a revised bumper and new LED daytime running lamps. Back at the rear end, the Verna facelift features LED taillamps and a revised bumper that carries new integrated reflectors along with a black underlip for a touch of sportiness. Back in Russia, where the car is being sold as the Solaris, Hyundai has decided to retain the engine options, which include 1.4- litre and 1.6-liter petrol engines. However, the auto variants feature a six speed transmission instead of the current car’s 4-speed gearbox. In India, this transmission is being offered with the Elantra so we won’t be surprised to see even the India-spec Verna facelift featuring it.
In India, the new Verna facelift could go on sale for a starting price of INR 7.5 Lakhs and the car will be seen locking horns with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, VW Vento, Ford Fiesta, Skoda Rapid and Fiat Linea. Stay tuned to AutoColumn for more updates on the Hyundai Verna facelift launch.
