US based motorcycle manufacturer, Indian motorcycle launched 2015 Roadmaster cruiser in India. This is the most expensive offering in India from Indian motorcycle and will go head to head with Harley Davidson in the market. Though there was no official announcement regarding the launch of new bike, but the official website of the company has shown all details and features of a new bike. The company assures a complete American luxury through this bike. As the name suggests it is based on an iconic Roadmaster from the 1940s, but with more power and all new latest features. The luxurious 2015 Indian Roadmaster features push button engine start/stop, LED lights, keyless start, heated seats, ABS, remote locking hard saddlebags and grips and electronically controlled adjustable Horizon Power Windshield (for improved airflow, weather protection and glare protection). It is a comfortable bike specially for long distance rides, even saddle bags have given capacity to hold 65.1 liters and trunk will have a capacity of an additional 64.4 liters. However, the deliveries are likely to begin in the second half of 2015. With the introduction of new motorcycle, the company now has four motorcycles in the Indian market – Scout, Chief (Classic & Vintage), Chieftain and Roadmaster.
Indian Roadmaster has ground clearance of 140mm and overall height of 1572mm, width of 1012mm and length of 2656mm. It sits on a wheelbase of 1668mm and has a seat height of 673mm. It rides on Dunlop Elite 3 130/90B16 73 H tyres in the front and Dunlop Elite 3 180/60R16 80 H tyres at the rear while the wheels are CAST 16”X 3.5″ front and 16″ X 5″ rear. Roadmaster is propelled by company’s own 1.8 liters 1811cc Thunder-stroke III, V-Twin engine capable of producing 138.9Nm of torque at 2600 rpm.

This fine luxurious bike is being offered in three colors of red, ivory cream and black. 2015 Roadmaster will be available at a price tag of 37 lakhs. Other bike under the same brand are available at lower prices like Indian Scout at Rs 12 lakhs, Indian Chief Classic at Rs 25.50 lakhs, Indian Chief Vintage at Rs 28.50 lakhs, and Indian Chieftain at Rs 32 lakhs. Same as other bikes from the brand, Roadmaster will enter into the market through CBU route.
