The super fast and supercar manufacturers unveiled the Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, which is a pure race-bread Lambo based on the Gallardo.
The new Huracan LP 620-2 Super Trofeo, which is fit for GT-3 racing uses an upgraded version of the current Huracan engine, a 5.2 liter, V-10 engine. The Huracan 620-2 Super Trofeo gets a 611 horsepower engine, which produces 620 PS of power mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. With this kind of power and extreme acceleration the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo will zoom past the finish in no time.
The LP 620-2 Super Trofeo is a track focused Lamborghini, owing to its racing credibility, the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo weighs 250 kgs lighter than the current Super Trofeo- being a rear- wheel drive as opposed to the all-wheel drive chassis used in the current model and the use of a carbon fiber and aluminum chassis and body panels, which add to the lightness. The LP 620-2 weighs about 2800 pounds in all.
Apart from the rear-wheel drive and the lighter framework, the LP 620-2 Super Trofeo comes with better aerodynamics to improve fuel efficiency, traction and downforce, which are: new front and rear diffusers, adjustable and big front air intakes on the bumper, ten-different setting options for the rear wing and specially designed Pirelli race rubber tires.
Lamborghini’s Research & Development boss Maurizio Reggiani said “We believe the car will be as fun for fans to watch as it will be rewarding for our racers to drive.” this seems to be true each time, as for Lamborghini cars, they just get faster and better with each new launch.
