Mahindra Two Wheelers, which is among the youngest players in the fast growing Indian two wheelers market, has launched a new variant of its Rodeo automatic scooter. Named as the Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125, the latest offering from Mahindra Two Wheelers brings along some visual upgrades and goes on sale for a price of Rs. 47,957 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 has been targeted at the youth and has a sporty appearance, which is courtesy of racy body decals, painted wheels and a two tone dual texture seat. Mahindra Two Wheelers says that the Rodeo UZO’s seat has been designed to prevent slippage during times of hard acceleration and braking. The new variant also gets body coloured rear view mirrors which are impact resistant. The Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 has gone on sale in as many as four paint options – Racetrack Black, Colt Black, Victory Violet and Blazing Blue.
Mechanically, the scooter remains unchanged and hence, continues to be powered by the same 125 cc, single cylinder, air cooled four stroke engine that powers the regular variants. This single cylinder motor features Mahindra’s DCDI and ALTA technologies and boasts of a company claimed fuel efficiency of 59 kmpl.
Other features that the new Mahindra Rodeo UZO 125 boasts of include- a set of telescopic forks, external front fuel filler cap, side stand safety beeper, an all digital speedo console that boasts of a tachometer, odometer, tripmeter, speedometer, fuel gauge, clock, high speed alarm and accelerometer and an electric socket that can charge mobile phones and other such electronic devices. The Rodeo UZO also has a 22 litre under-seat storage capacity with a 4-in-1 anti theft lock. It would be interesting to see if the Rodeo UZO, which has a sporty appearance and many convenience- features, would capture the imagination of the youth.
