Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG Variant coming in June?

Maruti Suzuki Celerio, claimed to be India’s first automatic transmission vehicle has created a buzz in the automobile market. With EZ Drive technology Celerio can zap through the traffic with ease and efficiency. Before buying a car everyone looks for the mileage, Celerio giving 23.1 KMPL has a smooth drive and luxury any budget hatch back would give. You can even get your hands on the manual transmission model. There are three variants in Celerio, LXi, VXi and ZXi. ZXi is the top end variant, however only manual transmission is available in this particular variant. LXi and VXi have an option of auto or five speed manual transmission. On the Maruti Suzuki website you can view the prices for each variant according to the state and city you reside.

At the Delhi Auto Expo where Celerio was first unveiled, the company disclosed their plans of launching a CNG version in June 2014. A report on interweb confirms that Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG variant will launch next month. Currently Maruti suzuki offers CNG kits for Wagon R, Alto 800 and Ertiga. CNG kit would further benefit the efficiency of the car. However, we have heard that CNG variant will only be available in VXi (Manual Transmission) model, crushing the desire of the customers who want a fuel efficient Automatic Car. CNG kit would take up all the boot space the car has which is a drawback if one is looking for luggage space. The current VXi petrol Variant would cost you around 4.20 lakh( Ex- showroom Delhi) whereas after the launch of the CNG variant the car is assumed to cost 4.70 lakh ( Ex- showroom Delhi).

CNG variant would have the same 1.0 liter  K- series engine producing 90 Nm of torque and 67  BHP. The CNG variant will be launched in june 2014. So if you are willing to buy a new car wait until the Celerio CNG is launched. The car having  good cabin space also has added features to ease your drive. The company also has plans to bring 800 cc  Diesel version. With a huge response form the buyers the car now has a waiting list and with the advent of CNG variant the period to buy it would certainly increase.It can be rightly said that nice things come in small packets.
