Mercedes GLA in the Super Mario Maker – Video of the Day

Mercedes-Benz has gone a little out of the way for advertising the GLA class. The Mercedes GLA has been added in the Super Mario Maker. This is not the first time, the luxury carmaker has partnered with Nintendo. The Mario Kart 8 had a free DLC pack which added three new cars including a GLA class.

This time it is exclusively for the Mercedes GLA class. Mario teams up with the GLA in a special course.  The new course is called Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive course. The level starts with Mario arriving at at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. He then takes it for a test-drive around the city. Mario will also take the luxury crossover to the Autobahn. Once the level is completed a Mercedes GLA will be added to their ‘Mario-Costumes.’

The Jump’n’Drive is created by the fans of Mario from Mercedes-Benz who were moved by the Mercedes GLA’s appearance in the Mario Kart 8, said a statement from Nintendo. “It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others.” Excecutive Vice President, Nintendo of America said in a statement.

Mercedes’ iconic three-pointed star logo is recreated in retro-inspired bricks. The German automaker says that Mario will also get some other surprises one of which will be a parking structure called “ParkHaus Madne$$” to park the Mercedes GLA.

Mercedes has released a promotional video to promote the course in Super Mario Maker. The video features a Mercedes GLA 45 AMG, high-performance variant of the GLA class. This car has a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 375 HP. This video has made it to our Video of the Day. The story behind the video is more interesting than the video.
