Yes we like being teased!
It is the season of teaser trailers. Soon after news broke of Mitsubishi releasing a couple of teasing sketches it was the turn of Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus and the ever famous Land Rover to provide a peek into what’s coming to the Geneva Motor show.
Take a look!
Lexus will reveal an all-new LF-SA, at the Geneva motor show next month. The press release said that this concept will “explore unexpected territories for the brand”. The production version may be based on the Toyota Yaris and could be positioned to take on the likes of Mini and the Audi A1. In the image released one can clearly see the marquee Lexus grill showcasing Toyota’s new design language which itself has stirred quite a few people. It’s a love it or hate it at first sight. The DRLs and headlamps get some very interesting treatments and the twin side lighting beside the monster of a grill certainly add a dash of glamour. It will be very interesting to see what shape the final vehicle will take. A company spokesman added, “The LF-SA has been conceived as a luxurious, driver-focused vehicle, designed to address a future world that is more influenced by technology and virtual experiences.
Land Rover also released their Range Rover’s iconic Evoque’s new headlamp signature ahead of the Geneva Motor show.
Gerry McGovern, Land Rover design director and chief creative officer, said: “Our challenge has been to enhance Evoque without diluting its iconic design. The design refreshments give it an even greater presence on the road yet retain the emotional appeal that has made it so popular with more than 400,000 consumers around the world.” So yes the Evoque is getting a facelift and they are not known for nips and tucks. The new headlamps surely excite.
