The second generation of the Mercedes B Class has just got a facelift and the Stuttgart based luxury car marque recently revealed the refreshed MPV ahead of its public debut in Paris Motor Show next month. Till date, Mercedes Benz has sold over 350,000 copies of its ‘sports tourer‘ and the latest facelift injects some newness to the MFA-based model from Mercedes Benz, which should further make this car more attractive to prospective car buyers. The new model, which would go on sale in European markets towards the end of this year, would have a starting price of £22,575.00 OTR (for the B 180 manual variant).
Talking about the new car, Ola Källenius, Member of the Divisional Board Mercedes-Benz Cars responsible for Marketing & Sales has said,”As the first member of a completely new generation of compact class, for us the B-Class paved the way for great success in this vehicle segment. The pioneer is now in better shape than ever. The B-Class is the perfect (family) car for anyone who attaches importance to practicality, comfort and safety, but at the same time doesn’t want to miss out on sportiness or driving dynamics.“
The new Mercedes Benz B Class facelift boasts of a new pair of headlamps and a sportier front bumper. The new headlamps have LED fixtures while the new bumper has a larger air-dam, with both of these new design elements making the car look more premium when viewed front on. At the rear end, the new B Class features more chrome elements and new bi-color LED taillights. The car receives some updates even on the inside and comes with a new three spoke steering wheel, a new 8-inch infotainment screen and a new ambient lighting system that offers a choice of twelve colors.
As we said earlier, the car will be unveiled next month and would go on sale a few months down the line. The new Mercedes B Class facelift India launch could happen around mid-2015.
