Toyota Kirloskar Motors has launched an updated Innova in India. The MPV has now been priced from INR 10.51lk to INR 15.80lk(ex-delhi).
The Innova recently completed 10 years in the Indian market and hence the move. There have been spy pictures of the 2016 Innova undergoing testing in India until then, this will keep the customers coming in the showrooms.
Alongside this, TKM also announced an Automatic 4X4 version of the Fortuner, with prices starting INR 24.17 lk.
“Alongside the launch of these two new products, we are very pleased to announce that TKM is the first manufacturer in the mass segment to have standardised front SRS airbags across all our models and in all grades,” TKM Director and Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing) N Raja announced during the launch.
The 2016 Innova might see an Automatic Diesel variant according to some reports which will just add to the cars appeal.
The Innova has slowly but steadily made its mark in the Indian MPV market by offering world class engines and exceptional interiors. The Interiors are so good infact, Toyota receives a lot of flak for using them in the Fortuner, which sits a segment higher than the Innova.
And its not only the fleet owners who knock at Toyota`s doors. Private buyers make an equally high demand for the MPV as a family car and highway mile-muncher. The recall due to the Airbag fault was the only clink in its armor but Toyota managed it efficiently without hampering the brands image.
