2014 is said to be the year of launches. Adding to this list is a new facelift, the Nissan Sunny. Many industrial giants have planned to launch a facelift version of their cars in India, adding more number of facelift launches in this year. Nissan had showcased their new facelift sedan, Sunny at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier. This move might have been planned as the car did not do very well after its launch in India.
Nissan has taken lot of efforts to take customer feedbacks and design their new facelift product accordingly. The new Sunny will now look sportier considering the interiors and exterior design as well as adding features to attract more attention of the buyers. There is a news that the car is ready for homologation and other procedures for its launch in June 2014.
The story of no mechanical changes repeats with the Nissan Sunny too. The sedan would have cosmetic changes only. A new front grille with Nissan’s signature boomerang headlamps, a new front bumper with fog lamps having chrome elements on the housing giving a stylish look, OVRM integrated turn indicators and a set of Y-spoke style alloy wheels. Features on the inside of the car has add-ons like Piano black center console, audio controls on the leather wrapped steering wheel, the dashboard has metal highlights,2-DIN audio system with a touchscreen (only on selected variants), rear parking camera, AUX and USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity. As mentioned previously the mechanics will be same and so the mill powering the vehicle will me the same 1.5 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel used in the current line up. Although the price of the new Sunny has not been disclosed it is assumed that the car would price higher than the current model.
