The world never ceases to amaze us. A certain Mr. David Gowan was enjoying having a joy ride in his 1979 Mooney M20K small airplane which suddenly decided it does not want to work anymore.
Plane Hits Ford Fusion Under Emergency Landing
Emergency landing being his only resort, David looked around for a clear area to land and thats when he spotted a long stretch of highway which had very little traffic. Mr. David was flying at an altitude of 1000 ft when this happened and he claims to have slowed down from his 100 mph (160 kmph) air speed, but he still caught upto the Fusion sedan which was doing about 105 kmph on the highway.
The car in question, a 2014 Ford Fusion, was registered for use by Clay County Health Department and was being driven by a lady, Corey Ernst. She said she caught a glimpse of the propellers before it hit the car from the left-rear. I can only imagine the feeling she must`ve had when she noticed the propellers closing in on her in her rear-view mirrors.
The linear cuts on the car look like what wolverine does to this enemies, only more violent. Still, the car looks to have kept the occupant safe and held on to itself. Both, the pilot and the car driver escaped with minor physical injuries.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
