Korean autogiant, Hyundai is about to come up with a hot hatch version of the latest generation i20. Dubbed as the Hyundai i20 N Version, the upcoming model could make its world premiere along with three other all-new Hyundai models at the Hyundai Product Momentum Show tomorrow. Here is a speculative Hyundai i20 N Version image that has been doing rounds of the internet space.
It is believed that the upcoming model will be offered in both three-door and five-door body styles and the i20 N will soon become the first-ever road going performance hatchback from Hyundai. Also, the i20 N will also become the first model from the carmaker’s newly launched N performance division.
Compared to the ‘standard’ i20, the upcoming N version will enjoy a lower ride height and would also sport a stylish body kit that will bring along a set of new bumpers, side skirts, larger rims, splitters and a new rear spoiler. Also, the car will feature an updated grille and would come adorned with N badges. On the inside, expect the i20 N to carry a new colour theme and other sporty bits such as sporty pedals. While technical specifications aren’t out yet, we expect the car to be powered by a 1.6 litre GDI petrol engine with maximum power in tune of 250 bhp. Also expected is a stiffer chassis and a sportier suspension setup.
There are slim chances of this car making it to our shores, but with the Punto Abarth launch being almost at our doorsteps, we won’t be too surprised to see the boffins at HMIL deciding to get a bit generous to us car aficionados. In international market, the car will rival the likes of Volkswagen Polo R, Ford Fiesta ST and Renault Clio RS.
