Royal Enfield Himalayan is scheduled to launch early next year. Spy shots of the touring motorcycle are pouring in continuously. The spy shots till date had a Himalayan wrapped in all matte black color. This is the first image to come with a camouflage rather than the paint job.
Other important factor about the new images is that the motorcycle is fitted accessories. The accessories include a windshield, rear luggage rack, fuel tank and engine guards, lockable metal panniers, etc. The Royal Enfield Himalayan being a purpose oriented touring motorcycle will be offered with a lot of options with respect to accessories.

The motorcycle is based on a completely new platform developed by RE’s UK subsidiary, Harris Performance. It has been given a proper adventurer touring look and character. The bike features high front mudguard, spoke wheels wrapped by knobby tires for off-roading, dual disc brakes, split seats, clear lens round headlamp, etc.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan will be powered by a new 410 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that will be good to produce 28 HP and 33 NM of peak torque. This new engine is expected to be mated on a 5-speed gearbox. This engine will further be used in other Royal Enfield bikes.
The Himalayan will be a new Royal after almost a decade with the same line-up. The popularity for the RE motorcycles is increasing rapidly in India as well as foreign markets. The new Himalayan is a very important bike for the company’s international business. It is expected to be launched at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. The Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to be priced between INR 1.75 lakhs to 2 lakhs.
