Suzuki Gixxer Based Fully Faired Bike Spotted Testing

Surprise surprise! Just when we thought Suzuki Motorcycles India is done with launching new products for now, a spy image of a Suzuki Gixxer faired version has suddenly decided to greet the internet world! The upcoming motorcycle would be priced higher than the Gixxer and will be a Yamaha Fazer V2.0 FI rival from Suzuki Motorcycles India Ltd. As can be seen in these images, the upcoming model will come with a full fairing that houses a shield-shaped headlamp, which has become a major element of Suzuki’s new design language. While the full fairing covers almost the entire front end, you can still have a look at the crankcase.

Other parts on the upcoming bike such as the fuel tank, tail, exhaust, wheels, tyres, brakes, etc. seem to have been taken over from the Gixxer. However instead of Gixxer like body colored split grab rails,  the faired motorcycle gets a single piece unit that is finished in silver. The bike could also get clip ons handlebar that will surely impress those looking for performance touring motorcycles.

Powering the upcoming motorcycle would be the same 154.9 cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Gixxer. However, due to the full fairing covering the engine almost entirely, it could get a liquid cooling system. For the Gixxer, this single cylinder engine pushes out a maximum of 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. The engine comes paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. The Suzuki Gixxer faired version launch could happen in the first half of next year.
