Terra Motors Corporation is a Japanese electric auto maker, Headquartered at Tokyo, which sold 20,000 electric vehicles in Japan. It was founded in 2010 and now has a network of 1,000 dealers in Japan.
Terra motors unveiled an electric superbike, Kiwami, in India. Kiwami is priced at 18 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Being the first electric superbike of the country, Kiwami, is 1000cc which churns out 10 kW (13.41 bhp) of maximum power and has atop speed of 160 km/hr.
According to Terra Motors, Kiwami offers acceleration performance equivalent to a 1000cc gasoline-powered sportsbike. Kiwami charges completely in 6 hours; can cover a distance of 200 km in single charge, making it the motorcycle with highest range.
“Besides, Kiwami, we plan to bring in a premium electric scooter and a electric three wheeler this year”, Terra Motors chief executive Toru Tokushige told reporters here. “We are targeting 25 per cent market share this year in the electric bike segment. We also plan to invest Rs. 30 crore during the year”, Tokushige said.
Terra motors are looking for the dealers well experienced in service quality of Electric vehicles.
