Saying this, Indian Motorcycles launched the 2014 Indian Scout in India priced at Rs 11.99 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
Indian Motorcycles have introduced their first liquid cooled engine in its American cruiser the 2014 Indian Scout. The cruiser is powered by a 1131 cc, V-twin, liquid-cooled, 4-valves per cylinder, DOHC engine, which produces 100 PS of power and 97.7 NM of torque, mated to a 6- speed gearbox.
The 2014 Indian Scout is built on the classic “rigid triangular” aluminium frame, coupled with momotube rear shocks that give the cruiser exceptional handling and comfort while riding. The swooping fuel tank and standard single seat gives the Scout a classique touch. This massive beast weighs about 253 kgs and has a wheelbase of 1562 mm and a ground clearance of 135 mm.
The Scout showcases a design heritage of the past infused with modern technology, making it simply perfect. The bookings for the Scout are open, the Scout variants are available in 4 color schemes: Thunder Black, Thunder Blace Smoke, Indian Red and Silver Smoke. One can accessorize the Scout with a pillion rider seat, an audio system and front wind protective visor. This retro-styled modern Indian Scout aims to increase the market of cruisers in India and will face its rivals like the Harley Davidson’s in grandeur style.
