The factory in Kaluga was shutdown from 5th to 18th of May to “adapt production under the current situation in the Russian automotive market” Post shutdown, the plants shifts were reduced to two and was operational only four working days per week. Of all huge setbacks still prevailing in Russia, Volkswagen is still intent in rolling out the most sophisticated Polo in their market. Besides all this, this company in Russia is attributed as one of the best-seller status within Russia.

What carries me so much is that Volkswagen Polo is a Hatchback car in India and its new facelift is unveiled in Russia. Good news to all of you. It’s not just Volkswagen car aspirants. You see, it is kind of a brand which leaves a mark in you despite you own one VW or not. The Volkswagen Polo is identical to the Vento Facelift with new front and rear fascias.

The new Volkswagen Polo Sedan is identical to the Vento facelift except for the headlamps which get bi-xenon and LED cluster, and a chrome garnish on the front fender. Compared to the outgoing Polo sedan, the car gets a new 3D grille, headlamps with optional bi-xenon system and LED daytime running lights, revised fender, redesigned bumper with chrome embellishing, new wheel cap and alloy wheel design, and a new beige body colour.

The Polo sedan facelift brings a host of cosmetic upgrades to the exterior as well as interior that uplifts the premium appeal of the Polo. Changes include bi-xenon headlights with LED DRLs, revised front bumper with cornering fog lamps, 3-slat grille, and generous helping of chrome at the back.
However, this Polo continues to hold on to the 1.6-liter petrol engine that is available in 2 output states, and in manual and automatic gearbox variants. Prices for the available trims and further details will be announced when the car goes on sale in mid-June.
