Arabian supercar builder W Motors shocked the world when it first announced plans for a car with a price tag of $3.4 million Lykan Hypersport which had a limited production run of just seven cars. W Motors are now all set to unveil their upcoming supercar called Fenyr Supersport at the Dubai Motor Show on the 10th of November. From the teaser shots, it’s clear the Fenyr Supersport will feature the same edgy design as the Lykan Hypersport.
The Fenyr Supersport won’t be as exclusive as its predecessor, but W Motors promises to lift the performance bar higher and that it will be better than Lykan Hypersport and weigh less than 1,200 kgs. The powertrain has not been disclosed yet, but a normal choice would be to work on the twin-turbo flat-six 3.7-liter that delivers 770 PS and 1,000 Nm in the Lykan HyperSport. The Lykan takes 2.8 seconds sprint to 100 km/h and a top speed of 385 km/h – thus we believe the Fenyr will top those numbers thanks to the lower weight and higher output. Only 25 units have been planned and each would be fitted with a bespoke design from RUF.
The car also comes with 420 diamonds encrusted in the LED lights, on a titanium accent piece, while the whole body and interior is garnished with carbon fiber. It even has a gesture recognition sensor and a 9” mid-air Hologram display with interactive motion – whatever that is.
In 2016, the Hypersport and Supersport will be joined by an SUV. The third model in the lineup will debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April. Only 100 units will be made each costing around $300,000 and the company says it will be “the fastest SUV in the world.”
