Maruti Suzuki India’s launches in this year include two new vehicles, the SX4 Cross and the YBA compact SUV.
Our friends over at MotorOctane‘s sources say Maruti Suzuki might name the YBA as the Vitara Brezza. Vitara was always the name for a Maruti SUV in India and MS wanted to continue with that moniker but with a splash of funkiness. Before you search for the dictionary or open google, let me tell you, Brezza means “Breeze” in Spanish. The report also mentions that MS has already registered the Vitara Brezza name.
The YBA (Brezza) will have the Fiat sourced 1.3L diesel under the hood. The top end variant might get an AMT gearbox. The car will have 6 variants: L, V, V+, Z and Z+. This is a step aside from Marutis usual variant names: LXi, VXi and ZXi for petrol and LDi, VDi and ZDi for the diesels.
Some of the features available on the YBA will be Keyless entry, ABS, Start/Stop button, reverse parking camera and a touch Infotainment system.
Prices for the YBA will be really competitive between INR 7.5lk to 11lk.
Ford Ecosport and Renault Duster better watch out now.
