Disclaimer: There are not much of a change in the interiors to the Facelifted Volkswagen Vento to that of the existing VW Vento- Author’s personal opinion.
There are not a many changes to the new Volkswagen Vento that recently got revealed by Volkswagen India after eight months where they updated the model with new features and specifications that include new 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The changes include many a several changes to the exterior as well to the interior that could literally uplift the premium appeal of Volkswagen Vento. The new facelifts also brings a host of detailed cosmetic up gradation to the vehicle. Volkswagen Vento facelift, the model which is expected to be in the market in coming weeks, has received thorough updates in its new avatar. However, mechanically, the new Vento facelift remains the same as the current model.
For starters, the front end is thoroughly designed that includes a new bumper design, Passat-esque 3-slat grille and larger fog lamps with integrated cornering lights. The rear gets an updated tail lamp with LEDs, and generous helping of chrome, as seen in the long strip that runs across the boot and the lower fascia. The rear bumper gets a cutout for the chrome exhaust tailpipe as well. At the back too, Vento facelift received significant changes like re-worked bumper with thick chrome strip and refreshed tail lamps. The side profile of the Vento remains almost the same and shows newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels.
However, there are not of many changes done to the facelift. The interior still remains largely identical to the outgoing model save for new interior color schemes and upgrades like cruise control, a cooled glove box, a dead pedal, external boot release and auto-folding mirrors.
Besides talking about not many a change, the face lifted Vento will retain the same engine of that the previous model, which includes a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol delivering 103 bhp, a 1.6-litre petrol with 104 bhp, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 103.2 bhp. Transmission options include a five-speed manual gearbox and a seven-speed DSG automatic and 1.2-litre TSI and 1.6-litre MPI engines.
Not much to say about the new facelifted Volkswagen Vento as it holds the same features of what the previous model held, this new unveiled one however has the ability to compete with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna VS, Maruti Ciaz.
The price is expected to be in the range of 7 – 8 Lakh rupees.
