Mercedes Benz has launched the new generation of C-Class coupe which will make debut at the Frankfurt Auto show next month. No details have been made public by the company , but we know certain things for sure. The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is 95 mm longer, 40 mm wider and it is riding on an 80 mm increased wheelbase compared to the model it is replacing, an action taken by the car manufacturer in order to differentiate it from its smaller brother, the CLA.
Mercedes-Benz have released a video of the car:
The car looks gorgeous from every angle. The dimond grille on the front. The creases on the side profile and the proportions are just pleasing. Although i have doubts about the rear passenger space and the lack of boot space. It looks a loot smaller even though the the car has grown 2.4 inches over the previous generation.
Rumor has it that the coupe will be using the same engine and gearbox lineup as the sedan. Sales will begin by the end of the year in the European markets and might make its presence felt in India some time next year. The car will have two version, C250 version and the C300 4MATIC, which will be making use of a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, rated at 241 HP and a healthy 370 Nm of torque.
It will also have an Airmatic suspension as optional along with standard features like LED headlights, the panoramic roof, the keyless entry etc. The engineers have added a lot of safety and assistance systems which include the adaptive cruise control, the active lane keeping assist, the brake assist, the active parking assist, the 360-degree view camera, the sat-nav which can work with the air conditioning to close the air circulation flap automatically when entering a tunnel and open it at the exit and so on.
