New generation Bonneville host a vertical 900cc liquid cooled parallel twin engine that churns out 54 horses of power, now this may sound like a bit of disappointed that new generation bike is down 6 horses than its predecessor, but you get 22% more power in the midrange. What that means is, now you have more usable power than just big numbers on papers. The new motor is also 36% more fuel-efficient, so the fuel economy is expected to be around 26-29 kmpl. The Motor is mated to six-speed heavy clutch gearbox which comes with slip assist for lighter and more accurate shifting’s.
New Bonnie weighs around 198 kg for more comfortable riding it gets 20% more travel in socks and 25% more seat foam padding.
It also features all the latest electronics like Traction control, ABS standard and digital display in a speedo.
Bonneville is a legendary motorcycle and Instead of all this modernization, what is a most commendable Triumph has not killed its retro soul. Internationally Triumph has unveiled five new bikes in a Bonneville range which includes, Thruxten, Thruxten R, T120 and T120 black.
The prices of older generation Bonnie starts in India around 6.3 lakhs, so we expect new generation Street Twin will be priced around 7.5 lakhs. Wait till the AutoExpo 2016 and our all doubts will be cleared.
