Following the footsteps of its big brother The Suzuki Baleno RS is scheduled to launch in march 2017. As the Suzuki Baleno has proved to be a great hit for the company, the manufacturer is up with its performance model. The Suzuki Baleno RS will be the second of its kind after the Ciaz RS which was the performance kit variant offered by the company back in 2015. Baleno RS will have a lot to offer as compared to its standard variant, lets know about the whole package.
The Suzuki Baleno RS 2017 :
Baleno RS comes with its peculiar 1.0 litre booster jet engine which happens to be the first ever turbo charged (petrol)engine which is delivered by the manufacturer. The vehicle was first showcased at the 2016 auto-expo as Baleno RS Concept and now has been brought to reality. This vehicle will be the second launch happening by the car maker this year. The vehicle was displayed along with the Maruti Ignis in the previous Auto-expo. Surprisingly the concept vehicle that was displayed in Auto-Expo matches exactly to the production variant.
Design and features:
The Baleno RS will resemble in every way to its standard model, but it will be accompanied by a new set of front and rear bumpers. Also that the RS variant is most likely to come with projector headlamps as standard. The length of the Baleno RS is expected to be more likely extended in length due to the sporty bumpers associated with the RS model. It will also will be delivered with a distinct RS badging. The seats also will be stitched with RS logo on it. The baleno RS will get the same V shaped grille as the standard model.
Inside it’ll make you feel exactly the same as it does in the Maruti Baleno. The vehicle as mentioned will get a unique set of seat covers, apart from that the infotainment system is suited to be compatible with Apple Car play and Google’s Android auto systems. It wont be wrong if we expect a new sporty steering wheel which is clamped in close proximity and in handy enough to make you all the control of the vehicle. Apart from the everything much, it will be a premium top end feel being inside the vehicle.
The vehicles 1.0 litre booster jet turbocharged petrol mill will be mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The turbocharged engine produces 100 horses at the wheel and delivers a peak torque of 150 Nm. Engine specs are being assumed and imagined with a variety of combinations. The Baleno RS will compete against the Punto Abarth and VW Polo GT which is mated with a heavy duty performance engine. It happens to be 200 kg lighter than the VW polo GT and needless to say it gives you a bunch of unexplored advantages.

The vehicle is said to get a whole new set of disc brakes on all the four wheels, So basically, Maruti isn’t doing nothing less to make sure the Baleno RS proves to be the best performance machine of its segment.
