2014 Fiat Avventura production version spied by our readers at AutoColumn. The car has sharp and muscular curves appealing for a fantastic look. The crossover segment is getting popular in India and every manufacturer is trying to anchor in this segment. First it was Skoda Fabia scout, then Volks Wagon Cross Polo followed by Toyota Etios Cross and now its Fiat who will be entering into this segment but with an Italian edge.
Fiat Avventura would have a set of larger rear wheels to give it a SUV look and wider ground clearance. The car gets unique styling over the bonnet with sharp lines making it a pure Italian design with curvy panels. Front faux skid plates are added to enhance crossover stance. The car gets projector headlamps similar to the one showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo. The production version will not be having DRLs but fog lamps. At the rear end body cladding incorporates two chrome plated exhaust ends adding dynamics to the car. The production version will be having body cladding all over the car with roof rails to make the car look taller.
Interiors of Avventura will have the same layout that of the Fiat Linea facelift, however Avventura will get accessories like a compass on the center console, clinometer and a tilt-meter. Under the hood 1.2 liter petrol engine and 1.3 liter multijet diesel engine will churn out power to the car. There is a high probability that Fiat would also introduce 1.4 liter T-jet and 1.6 liter multijet engines for the Avventura. The car showcased at 2014 Auto Expo as Avventura concept had 6 speed manual gearbox. It will be interesting to see if Fiat has already developed 6 speed manual transmission for their engines and it would be more interesting if they are offered in India market too. 2014 Fiat Avventura is expected to be priced a bit higher than 2014 Punto. 2014 Fiat Punto and 2014 Fiat Avventura will hit the market in coming months.
