With the Indian two-wheeler segment flourishing with new product launches of both scooters and bikes, the main agenda is to balance style, fuel efficiency, costs and power to give the best product. Making a comeback into the two-wheeler motorcycle segment, Bajaj launches two entry-level 150 cc bikes the Discover 150F and the discover 150S.
The Discover siblings are offered in three variants namely: (ex-showroom Pune)
Bajaj Discover 150S Std: Rs 51,720
Bajaj Discover 150S Disc: Rs 54,725
Bajaj Discover 150F: Rs 58,739
The Discover 150F is a first in its class semi-faired bike, which features an analog speedometer, a digital odometer, trip meter and fuel gauge. The 150F sports a newly designed chain guard, 10-spoke alloy wheels, disc brakes and a metal Bajaj logo on the tank. The 150S is a more standard and stripped down version of the 150F.
Both the bikes draw their power from a new 144.8cc, 4-valve, air-cooled, DTS-i engine, which produces 14.3 BHP of power and a torque of 12.7 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox that shifts in an all-up pattern. The new engine claims to be faster with a top speed of 110 kmph and efficient, than the 2-stroke 150 cc engine.
With the sale figures dropping and the improvement on the scooter segment , Bajaj has lost out a lot in the two-wheeler segment. We hope that the powerful yet affordable Discover sibling return Bajaj’s glory once again.
