These are base choices which include 23 topcoat variants, 8 carbon options, 31 different leather shades, 8 Alcantara colour shades. It is like you yourself going to the market, buying bits of your own choice, make sure it is made of the top quality and then hand it over to your skilled set of labourers. Bugatti maybe is trying to give you a taste of how difficult it is to do all this stuff on their own. If you still didn’t have enough of it, you have additional zillion options in which you can choose from different individual colour shades and from logo designs to logo initials which will appear under the spoilers and on the bumpers.
Once you have been through all the torture of selection process, the vehicle starts to build up back at the shop. This Mysterious shop of theirs is located back in ‘Atelier’, located in Molsheim, Alsace, France.
This has been the production facility of the car maker ever since 1909. This is the place where the Bugatti Veyron and every other vehicle Bugatti had a tag on was created.
This happens to be the place of 20 most skilled workers who assemble around 1800 different spares to build world’s most expensive, most luxurious, the fastest one and the top end production Super Sports Car! The facility is spread over an area of 1000 sq.mt plus and is big enough for these 20 individuals working efficiently on their exclusive project.
The Bugatti Chiron is suited with a VW Group’s engine which is delivered to Atelier from their plant in Salzgitter. Apart from the engine assembly, the Chiron goes through 12 stages of the assembly procedure.The Chiron lives its first six months in this facility. This production facility at Atelier doesn’t have any conveyor belts or any kinds of robots. These cars are exclusively brought together by the 20 technicians aka skilled workers which bring it to life. This happens to be one of the cleanest and silent production facility of all times, which delivers world’s most expensive production Super Sports car.
Once the vehicle is brought to life and ready, the Test drivers back at Atelier take the Chiron for a little test drive. When you claim t deliver world’s fastest and most expensive production cars, you should be sure enough you are doing the same! Hence these vehicles are tested on the roads of Vosges to the airport in Colmar at speeds which exceed 250-300 km-ph. Thereafter the vehicles and polished and finished for delivery.
Before the final wrap up though, the Chiron goes for it first 50 km regular test drive, in which the technician and drivers check all the electrics and fancy accessories and ensure the vehicle will make it worth every penny to the owner.Over 70 Bugatti Chiron’s will be delivered this year. Of which some also maybe on their way to their new homes.
Buying Exotic cars is a dream of every car guy, but owning such a beast which has such an auspicious background, and which has been worked on by a group of best men is really an honour.
