Some exiting news is queued for all. Rolls-Royce here in Los Angeles announced the name for its forthcoming new model. Rolls-Royce Dawn will be the name for the drophead. Dawn will be launched in the first quarter of 2016. Brace yourselves for this. 2016 isn’t that far from today.
The car was unveiled to representatives of the marque’s 130-strong global dealer network at the 2015 Rolls-Royce World Dealer Conference in Los Angeles, California today. This meeting encompassed with the naming ceremony of the Rolls-Royce.
“Our new Rolls-Royce Dawn promises a striking, seductive encounter like no other Rolls-Royce to date,” said Torsten Mueller-Oetvoes, Chief Executive Officer. “Dawn is a beautiful new open-top motor car with a name that suggests the fresh opportunities that every new day holds. It will be the most social of super-luxury motor cars.” Besides, CEO insisted the name as this car will be a new beginning for all out there.
The mechanical make-up is expected to be almost identical to that of the Wraith, with the two cars set to share the same 624bhp, twin-turbocharged 6.6-litre V12 engine. The new open-top model is likely to offer a less focused drive than the Wraith, which is billed as the most dynamic Rolls-Royce model available.
The new Rolls-Royce Dawn is named after one of its early models. The name was first used in 1949, but only ever applied to 28 drophead bodies between 1950 and 1954. The original Silver Dawn was the first Rolls-Royce to be offered with a factory-built body.
Rolls-Royce calls Dawn as the next step in the renaissance of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars which began in 2003 with the launch of Phantom and subsequent introductions of Ghost and Wraith.
Dawn clearly suits for the Tier one people and in India the future of Rolls-Royce seems to be really invincible. Great people with money can afford to buy this new open-top motor car. The larger question is, will it knock the doors of other tier people?
