Barcelona plays host to the second pre-season test of the 2015 Formula 1 season, with the Circuit de Catalunya track set to give a more realistic understanding on where teams will be this season. Scuderia Ferrari were the pacesetters during the first test on the track, these tests will definitely give us an understanding and peek into the future where the teams will be standing in new upcoming season. Sebastian Vettel was fastest on the first two days while Kimi Raikkonen ended the test at Jerez with the fastest time overall. In due course of time force India is ready to test Pascal Wehrlein at Catalunya. The Silverstone based team sat out the opening test of the winter at Jerez amid rumors of financial problems and crippling debts to suppliers. Pascal Wehrlein looks set to make his formula one test debut next week in a Force India. After a lot of troubles team is now bound to go for the second test. It seems that teams new unseen car VJM08 is still not ready, but it is being said that monocoque has now been delivered to the team’s factory. It is expected that they will be bringing 2014 VJM07 to Spain. Also regular drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will be testing in Barcelona.
“The plan is to introduce it (the 2015 car) at the final test,” a Force India spokesman confirmed. Ralf Bach, a German correspondent for Sport Bild who also writes a blog at f1-insider.com, said he has heard that Force India is yet to pay its latest Mercedes engine bill. “Only the use of Wehrlein, it is said, will secure Force India’s engines for the test in Barcelona,” he claimed. “Regular drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez will have to wait until the third and final test just before the start of the season in Australia,”
But still the new car is not seen yet, launched last year in Mexico City. But Force India will at least be there at the Spanish Grand Prix venue.
