Off late the world of Formula 1 has seen n number of changes which has resulted in drop of the total number of spectators(or should we say enthusiasts). The introduction of turbo-charged engines was largely criticized. People thought the engines were not loud enough. The tires used face criticism even now. The refulling ban has a divided opinion. In order to know what the actual fans think of where F1 is headed, AUTOSPORT,F1 Racing and Motorsport News launched a global fan survey in May. The results have been published now and the results are interesting to say the least.
Some the findings are surprising, but they provide a fully-independent insight into the thinking of serious fans of Formula 1 – 36 per cent of respondents watch every session of a grand prix weekend, and nearly 65 per cent have been following F1 for at least 15 years.
