The highly awaited Honda 160cc motorcycle is here and the new Honda CB Unicorn 160 price starts at Rs 69350. The new model replaces the Trigger in HMSI’s highly competitive line up of models. The new CB Unicorn 160 has gone on sale in two variants and the prices of the two variants are –
- Honda Unicorn 160 Std. Price – INR 69,350
- Honda Unicorn 160 CBS Price – INR 74,414
The new Honda 160cc motorcycle comes with a sleek bikini fairing and overall, the new bike looks very unlike rivals such as the Suzuki Gixxer 155 and the Yamaha FZ16. The bike comes with a long seat and has a stylish plastic-guard. Also, the new motorcycle gets a trendy fully digital instrument console. Powering the new Unicorn CB 160 is a 163cc single cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 14.71PS and a peak torque of 14.61Nm. The bike has a top speed of 106kmph. Honda 2 Wheelers has claimed that their new CB Unicorn 160 has a fuel economy of 62 kmpl and the new model is the most fuel efficient bike in the segment it competes in.
With the new bike, HMSI seems to be targeting the commuter end of the market, as the bike has inoffensive looks and it misses out on all snazzy bits such as exposed chain, clip on handlebards and split grab rails. But much like the old Unicorn, the new 160cc variant gets a monoshock at the rear.
The bike misses out on a fuel injection system. As these pics reveal, the bike also misses out on exposed chain, rear disc brake and clip-ons handlebar. However, much like the Unicorn that we all know of, the new motorcycle has a mono-suspension at the rear.
