If you see aunities of this generation dropping off their kids to school, you should also recognize the vehicle they come along with. I won’t say it is everywhere Honda Activa running on the streets; probably they find it very feasible and convenient and the mileage it gives is impeccable.

The new Activa 125 is set to go on sale shortly and while we’ve already reported about every minute detail of the upcoming scooter, we shall discuss furthermore on the specs and its engine capability taking the Activa 110cc and 125cc on hand. Stay on with us.


The name says it, Activa 125; powering a 125 cc, single cylinder, four stroke engine that has a max power of 8.6bhp at 6500 rpm and peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a V-Matic CVT transmission. The Activa 125 sports telescoping forks up front and spring loaded hydraulic type shock absorbers at the rear. On the other hand, Activa 110 cc engine develops a max power of 8 bhp @ 7500 rpm and peak torque of 8.74Nm @ 5500 rpm. Now, this means while the Activa 125 is only a little more powerful, it is in the torque figures where the A125 really scores! All this means that in real world performance, the upcoming variant will have a definite upper hand over A110 in terms of performance.

Features list on the Activa 110 include- an ‘inner’ storage box (optional), a key shutter mechanism and Combi brake system. In addition to all of these, the new Activa 125 also gets features such as a new digital speedometer and five-spoke alloys.

The new Honda Activa 125 will go on sale in four colors– Midnight Blue Metallic, Black, Peal Sunbeam White and Sword Silver Metallic.

Fuel Mileage:

While the Activa boasts of a claimed fuel mileage of 60kmpl, it is expected that the upcoming variant would have a claimed FE of around 48-50 kmpl.


Honda India has refrained itself from revealing the price of Activa 125cc and various reports have now revealed that the price would somewhere stand around the INR 56,000 for the drum brake variant and INR 63,000 for the disc brake variant. In comparison, the Honda Activa 110 has an ex showroom price of approximately INR 49,500 here in Pune. This means that the bigger, more powerful variant will be around INR 6-7k pricier than the 110cc variant.
