Frankfurt Motor Show Launches: Lamborghini Huracan Spyder !!!

Lamborghini has done it again! Just like every time, the designers have made a comparatively sober looking Huracan into a total badass while chopping off the roof! This Lambo looks spectacular and a lot better than the hardtop Huracan. Lamborghini Huracan Spyder made its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show today.

A 5.2-litre V10 engine enabling the engine to reach speeds beyond 350km/h is every driver’s wet dream!! 601 horsepower and 650 Newton meter of torque to all four wheels will make your soul happy. The car will be able to sprint from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds!

Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder will give option to choose roof top in three different colors—black, brown and red. The car’s roof is an automated soft-top similar to the one on the previous Gallardo Spyder, which this model directly replaces. The roof folds away neatly in a compartment behind the seats in just 17 seconds. And it’s been designed to operate at speeds of up to 50 km/h.

“The Huracán LP 610-4 Spyder is the next chapter in the success story of the naturally aspirated V-10 Huracán, and continues a Lamborghini tradition of open air motoring,” Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann said at the reveal. “Its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, was the best-selling open top model in Lamborghini’s history—we expect the Huracán Spyder to exceed its predecessor in every way.

It is claimed to be 40% stiffer than its predecessor, the Gallardo Spyder, and will offer 50% more downforce and CO2 emissions have improved by 14%when compared to the baby Lambo.

The new convertible option isn’t the only change being made to the Huracán lineup. For the 2016 model year, all Huracán models receive a cylinder-deactivation system that shuts off one bank of the engine during light load situations. To further reduce consumption, the cars also come with an engine stop-start system. The rear window just like the one on elder brother Aventador, can be raised or lowered, regardless of whether the roof is up or down. When the roof is down, this window continues to serve as a rear windshield reducing the turbulence.

This truly seems to be a worthy competitor to Ferrari 488 Spider.
