Hyundai struck gold with their newest SUV, the Creta. 2015 Hyundai Creta received a staggering 54,000 bookings just over two months of the launch. Never have we seen such huge rush to buy an SUV due to which the waiting period has ballooned to 6 months in some cities.
Hyundai has already added 50% more to the production capacity with 7,500 units per month instead of the 5,000 units planned initially. The company even had to defer the plans of exporting the SUV to other markets as it is not able to fulfil the hunger of Indian customers for a stylish SUV. The Creta has demolished the competition from Suzuki S-Cross wich was launched within 2 weeks of the launch. Hyundai Creta bookings has created a record of sorts for the SUV segment and many customers are ready to pay premium to jump queue in the bookings line.
