Hyundai launched its flagship product the Hyundai Grand i10 on 3rd September 2013 and has achieved the milestone of selling over 1 lakh units in a year. To honor this amazing feat, Hyundai launched the Hyundai Grand i10 SportZ model priced at Rs 5.11 lakhs for the petrol variant and Rs 5.98 lakhs for the diesel variant (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Hyundai Grand i10 SportZ comes with 1.2 liter, Kappa petrol engine and a 1.1 liter, CRDi diesel engine. Both the engines are mated to a 5- speed gearbox with an option of a 4- speed automatic in the petrol variant, with an ARAI claimed fuel- efficiency of 18.9 km/l and 24 km/l respectively.
The major difference between the Grand i10 and the Grand i10 SportZ are the changes to the exterior and interior of the SportZ model. On the exterior the SportZ model features sporty body decals, blackened B-pillar, SportZ badging, rear spoiler and 14-inch diamond-cut alloys. The interior gets a black-red color tone and matching upholstery, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and Bluetooth connectivity.
Commenting on the launch of the Hyundai Grand i10 SportZ edition, Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Marketing and Sales, Hyundai India said, “We are delighted to introduce the SportZ Edition of the Grand i10 among our customers to celebrate the landmark achieved by the Grand i10 of selling 1 lakh units in 10 months and featuring in the top 5 most selling brands within the first month of production”.
